Having purchased my boat in November we had only just run in the new engine with just 7 hours on the clock. In fact that 7 hours was the only rib experience any of us had. I had four on board and the idea of a "cruise" round Anglesey sounded great. I pictured flat water sunshine and a bit of sightseeing. It started off that way heading up the straights and into Conwy. Quick drink and a sandwich at the marina and thought this is a piece if cake. Having left the safety of Conwy and heading past Puffin island things seemed very different. It had gone from cruise to endurance. I never seen any of the North side if the island as we were being battered from all directions and soaked from head to toe and was just concentrating on the sea ahead. We we're on our own most of the way and relying on the Garmin 750s on guiding us to Holyhead which we found very difficult as the touch screen was too tricky to operate whilst been thrown around in the waves. We were all relieved to make it to Holyhead. The South side of the island was a pleasure and we arrived back at Chris's having gained some valuable experience and with a sense of achievement. Although scary at times I enjoyed every minute and look forward to next year!

Yes I was one at Conwy marina to help get him out. I didn't film it but the official photographer did. Poor lad.

Keep em coming!!

I think Andy may well end up in the mag as well as the drink....

Cheers for your experience Wrekin Dave, its things like the touch screen difficulty in the rough that are only found by trial and error, good point made!

Anyone else's experience of kit, good or bad. Cheap or expensive?

Just got this months PBR magazine and read the round Anglesey review by the Excellent Humber Paul.

Well done Paul you should give yourself a pat on the back as it was an excellent write up with great Pics (including one of me). Bet Tim and Deano are also chuffed with there special mentions as well (great stuff)

Let's hope the extra publicity will attract more boats for Anglesey 2015 and break the record again as well as raising more funds for a nominated charity.

Thanks again for everybody else involved in making this event happen as I really enjoyed it and will look forward to taking part in future.

Nice one HP. Career as a journo as a fall back? List of names next to the opening picture was inaccurate though. Someone had Nugent there; which he was in March on the earlier trip!!
