Ribbing in Spetses Greece

Got a chance to spend a few days in Spetses and managed to find a RIB to hire that I could drive myself.



We did a lap of the island and found a nice spot to anchor and go for a swim.



It was an older RIB, I think about 5m with a reasonably new 70hp 4 stroke Suzuki. Prop was a 4 blade 17 inch and pushed it to just over 25 knots flat out but cruised at just over 20.

Highly recommended if anyone is at Spetses although I am sure most islands would have something similar.

Ah Spetses, know it well. Went around myself a couple of years ago, took me just under an hour - on a mountain bike
Jumped the bike off the ferry ramp back on the mainland and whacked myself in the shin, the resulting infection stopped any more sillyness

Maybe forget the mountain bike this time and stick to the RIB.

You probably could get away without using the ferry as it's pretty close to the mainland. It appears the ferry is the dangerous part of your adventure.
