Dry Suits on Ebay

Just received delivery of a dry suit I bought last week on ebay

Light weight but professionally made with boots, heavy zip and carry bag. Maybe not designed for deepsea diving but perfect for ribbing. I searched the web and the retail price is around 200 but I paid less than 30 on ebay

Well you got.......

.........a bloody bargin. I just called him and as it happens he's 20 minutes from my office. He advised 60 and 10 postage but of course less the postage if I collect. I'm going to drive over tomorrow lunch and take a look. He says he has a couple of different types which were all from Northern Diver. For some reason the material is porous if you're immersed for over 15 minutes but fine for short periods, therefore, N.D had to sell them off cheap without their normal guarantee. I'll let you know how I get on.

Buy it & Use it, then sell it and buy something bigger

I have bought two of these in the front entry style from the Dive Bunker in Burntisland for 65 each and they are worth every penny. Not tough or waterproof enough for diving but perfect as a ribsuit. No need for somebody else to zip me in or out. Stayed dry even when up to my ears launching and recovering. A good undersuit is a must but at 300 less than my drysuits they are a bargain.
