Seems so...... when you think about it - if it was straightforward and they were serious - wouldn't they be go to a lawyer for 'Advice' - rather than have a slagging match on a computer bulletin board ???

well - I'm still looking around at new ribs... think I'll be sticking to Avon, ribeX, cobra and give some of these lesser known brands a miss.... dont want to be getting a new boat confiscated by angry creditors or lawyers!!!!!!

I asked for some advice at the start of this thread, now there is baggage and arguments to who owes what, i have taken legal advice and will go along this route, i have recieved many messages of support but i note that the question about splashing was not resolved, anyone else that wants a piece of my boat please feel free to contact me, thanks

Not always the case - once went down the road of patenting a "new" invention - total waste of money!!! At the end of the day a patent is only as good as the amount of money you have to defend it!!!!

And talking of "new" inventions etc it is amazing just how liittle is really NEW!!! The Yanks patented the "new" joystick they designed for the F16 - after the patent was granted someone noticed the idea had been patented before in 1903 for use on a Glasgow tram!!!

Just for the record - our hull is totally unique, the designers name is Lorne Cambell, and I hope to be paying him quite a lot of money in Royalties over the next few years!
