Not yet. I've been combing CL this week and I've given myself another week to find something. I leave in a week and I may just buy something temporary just for the trip to try out then sell it. I wish I could borrow or rent but that does not appear to be an option.

Not sure I how I missed that one. I am waiting for a reply. I can't tell what shaft length it is. With my transom being 18.5" tall would it be bad to get a short shaft temporarily? I'm getting less picky by the day.

I also spoke to this guy but its not a tiller. How difficult and costly is it to change it over?http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/boa/4003651824.html

That's a good deal for a newer 25 hp, and Salem is close.

Also, here I another possibility. The add doesn't specify shaft length or if its a tiller, but the price is unbeatable for a 35 hp. You should reach out to this guy for details. It would be worth a drive to Bend for the price...

35 HP JOHNSON OUTBOARD RUNS GREAT

I think shorth shaft may be well too short. even at 17. it will raise too high.

As far as remote control motors. Why not keep it as such. I'm liking that idea. All you really need to get is steering tower. Like this for example Central Console System For Inflatable Boats, RIBs, Jon Boats.

It sold

I'd consider it but I am leaving in 7 days so too much of a project for now. I have yet to finish trailer, wire up new lighting for it.

I just need to get something temporary for the trip that I can try out then sell when I find the long term solution. E-tec hopefully.
