You may have seen this (and you may need the Garfish to translate for you) but see post #35. Perhaps some of that spare fuel will help ease the label a little.

LOL - cheers. I had glanced over the thread, spotted the numbers but missed the photo. I have one in the shed - must skin it in the AM

I use 10 micron racors & only change the engine filters every 2nd service & never find much in the engine filters
But standard filters for cars are water separators as well as filters & the pump is the same for car or boat (give or take the odd tweek) so the filter has to be good enough to protect the pump from debris & on a car it's the only filter not a secondary & the hours run on the average boat between services is miniscule compared to the time on the average landcruiser
Buy the sub 10 filters from the factors & don't worry about it

If I get a chance tomorrow I'll give them a call.

Sounds a bit like the 28 yamaha anodes ;-)

Worryingly, not needing the Garfish. It appears that I can read Scowegian!

This would be my general inclination. Probably after warranty time expires...

Damned expensive aren't they? There's must be something very specific about the filter for 8LV lumps, and I assume it's the flow rate? Found the same genuine part on US and European sites, all roughly the same price.

17 gallons an hour plus circulation? Pffft! I liked how you decided that 85 for a fuel filter wasn't such a bargain...
