Hi Robin

Yes, I am crossing back over to the "Dark" side for a year or so to take Sir Alec Rose's boat Lively Lady around the world starting October 2005 returning July 4th 2006. This is the largest project I have ever taken on and involves raising the best part of a million quid !

The project has two main aims and objectives.

1/ To raise enough money to fullfill Sir Alec's wishes which was "That Lively Lady should be kept in a suitable condition that she offers the oportunity to teach sea skills to young dissadvantaged Adults"
2/ To source a crew of up to 75 young deserving adults to take part in the circumnavigation leg by leg.

The planned route is out through the Panama and back through the Suez stopping in 25 countries to change crew.

As I said, a massive task.

JK will be setting up the website for the project in the next day or so but in the meantime if you want to have a look at Lively Lady I have just put her on permanant show down at Gunwharf Quays Portsmouth.

More Later
Alan P

Look at my wonderful country only one strike around it meaning we have virtualy no wind and the temperature today went to 23 Celcius snd the forecast for tomorrow even warmer. And ofcourse working day although lot of businesses are giving their people day off for enjoying the weather but the company I work for does not, however I can enjoye the scenery out of my window and can open two windows for fresh air.

Sounds like Iceland's warmer than the UK at the moment then, Bogi!

Mind you, I have to take a trip into London this afternoon, so I'm not complaining - at least the tube shouldn't be like an oven.

Round The Island Race.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have not been very vocal lately, have been busy learning to swim with the fishes.

I will doing my final qualifying dives this comming weekend & hopefully I will pass.

Have a great time on the water; there is approximately 2000+ boats entered in this years event. A spectacular site on the Kite Leg.

Best wishes
