Wow, 12 small ribs booked in already. Do any of team scooby have any bright ideas regarding fund raising (as that is what this is all about) ?

Chris not had any bright ideas yet, obviously we are not in a position to sell a seat (like the big/boys) thought about just mugging a few friends and family,

T shirts/polo shirts? seems like a good idea from the Anglesey cruise

I have a T-shirt from each year of the Anglesey cruise. With Whisper's permission I will get mods to change thread to:

"Round Anglesey/Conwy Castle for Macmillan Cancer Support - April 19th 2014.

T- shirt can just say
Round Anglesey Rib rally for Macmillan Cancer
Easter 2014

I'll then take orders from people for sizes and collect the funds at a price of £10-15 depending on cost per unit until March, order the shirts, then donate all the profit. T shirts delivered to Chris's or Conwy Quay depending on launch site. With 25 boats and 3 per boat, we could raise a good chunk of money

We'll probably try to raise what we can from friends / family/ colleagues.

We'll also probably join team Scooby if a 5.3's allowable - save pushing it to keep up with the 8ms! (although we did OK last year)

Willing to offer a spell at the helm for anyone wishing to be sponsored to dribe as many RIBS as possible.

Would offer to auction off my smaller crew members as mobile audio-ballast, but not sure there'd be any takers

We could take bets on who will be the one at the front of Scooby.

1 Matt h
2 Matt h
3 Matt h
4 Matt h
5 Matt h
6 Matt h
7 Matt h
8 Matt h
9 Matt h

Or finally

Matt h?

Matt's plan...arrive, open throttle (fully), jump waves, close throttle, recover boat on trailer.

Eeeek team scooby is growing.. money raising i love the t shirt idea ,i m thinking of a few designs and have had a printer reccommended by a mate. Im thinking i might try to get a few c listed celebs to wear them and get them photographed maybe then try for some small time corporate sponsorship i.e. my employers local chandlelers etc.. the race actually coincides with coventry s race for life so may fly a pink flag.. good to see so many people involved in such an emotive project and any ideas kindly taken on board

Hey dudes, can you check this for me?

This is to help you raise money if you want to via friends and family etc, but all money should be paid into our JustGiving Account which is on the sponsor form

You don't have to return the completed form.

I'm tempted to add my name to the list, but having the smallest Rib (at 3.5 m) could be embarassing!

(It's not the size but what you do with it)

It was our idea to run two 8.0 m's on the trip (10 passengers on each) and donate 100% of the fees for all places filled, as well as 'pass a bucket around' on the day. Does anyone have any problem with that ?
