Are inflatable boats and Pointy Coos an ideal mix?

Craobh Haven is a good base and has lots of holiday lets. I don’t know if there are any as big as you’re looking for, but maybe an option if you took two cottages instead?

I’ve not been for about 10 years but Kentallen might be an option - again there isn’t one big house but several small ones next to each other. There is a small harbour where you could raft three ribs easily. Not sure how friendly the slip is for big ribs but you could launch elsewhere and keep the trailers on site. Hotel with pool and bar on site if you need amenities.

Puffin divers have chalets & moorings, you’ll need a tender or someone in a dry suit prepared to swim out though. Puffin are a strange bunch, an acquired taste (salted & grilled is best imo) but the location is spot on. You can also keep your boat at Puffin & stay at Oban camping & caravan site. They have log cabins & static caravans & are only 5min walk away.

oban seil farm near balvicar number of cottages with a pontoon in clachan sound launch from the beach [stone] very solid with no probs launching ribs very sheltered access all states of tide but zoom right in on the plotter especially as you round the corner just before the pontoon. access is down a track across the road from the farm plenty of trailer parking in the woods.
owners name nick 01852300245 postcode PA34 4TN put that in grid reference finder on satellite you can see the pontoon etc its 10 years since i've been

Thats very diplomatic of you Dave I've heard much more graphic descriptions of the attitude of Puffin

Although we camped at the site up the hill a few years back and used Puffins facilities, We never had any problems but they didnt come across as being big on customer service. I could see how their reputation may have came about

What you on about?.. lovely people
..I have always found them most helpful and accommodating...I even got a deal on mooring fees for Four Boats last time we stayed
...hopefully (after that!) get the same next year when we all plan to visit again
