Brancaster to Skeggie

Some time ago arn.george suggested a trip from Brancaster to Skeggnessie with a BBQ and then return. Well, the summer is here (allegedly) so perhaps we could finally get around to doing it.

Who would be up for it? I think it's around 17miles each way. Some time at the beginning of August might be good in terms of weather. How’s everyone fixed?

Where do you launch from Tim? I was beginning to give up hope of ever finding anyone within striking distance of Hull! Not that I'll be able to come, I still need : Tubes, Steering, Engine controls, Rewire. And a few other bits and pieces so don't think I'll be ready! However next year....
If I've got my other (hard, sorry) boat fixed can I come in that and say hello?
Good luck, been ages since I did anything like that.

It's actually a long way from Hull! 8hrs @ 8kts , will have to wait for another time.

Sure - everyone's welcome! I normally launch from Morston, but then Brancaster is better for this trip. I've never been there before, but I have a mate who uses it, and says it's OK.

Looking at doing this in the next few weeks - tide dependant - proposal is trip to skeggy from north norfolk - followed by bring your own bbq on a sandbank (that will hopefully be exposed!) and return. Everyone welcome!
Please post interest.
