Wind Speed Data

Does anyone know where I can find windspeed data from 31/3/07 ? We had a marquee blow away and need some proof of wind speeds during the day .

Go to www.findafishingboat.com go to weather and tides where you have a choice of weather forcasts, and charts, you will also find the windguru on this site or you can go direct to this site. Hope this helps

Thanks Laser , typically Chimet is wont down load the data for that day , I am also looking for winds in the Basingstoke area . The wind speeds at Brambles were not high enough for my purposes if you get my drift!

Weather data

Hurst Castle any good? Data recorded every 10 minutes. 31 knots at 1000. 33 knots at 1400.

The Met Office certainly do 'aftercasts' for air accident investigation. Likewise if there is a small airfield nearby would be worth giving them a call as they ll probably have records too (size dependant though).

Popham airfield? There's probably an old boy who sits there meticulously recording wind speed, pressure and temp every hour!

Thanks for those Lasham dont keep records after 24hrs but will try Odiham or Popham .Just spoken to Odiham 37knots
