Tube repair

I've searched the archive and cannot find the solution to my problem. While towing my rib with a fishing boat she accidently hit her nose off a scupper and put a 1 inch slit where the tube meets the hull just above the towing cleat. I've tried to patch her with the kit that came with the boat but always seem to get a leak because the puncture is on a right angle. Help please I believe its polyurethane.

Sounds like a proffesional job with the tube needing to pulled away from the hull, slit sewn up and then patched properly and refastening the tube.
