im after 40hp/50hp 4stroke but need to sell my engine first... want to get in the water asap, the tiller will have to do untill mine sells

ya, im not sure what to expect, anything around the 25kt range would be nice, the faster the better, the one i have is a 2stroke so will have to see how she does. what speed do you get with your setup?

Hi Andrew
I think that it would be a mistake to use the 40 hp Mariner for this project because it does not have PTT. My experance with the DR 490 (similar sized boat) that the Ptt is essential.

ya, im only going to put the 40hp on untill I sell it and buy a full electric ptt one, my 40hp is just to get me in the water

Thanks to Joe and all the guys at www.ribs.ie for such a great job. I will post up some clear photos during the weekend, I hope to have the engine mounted monday and be in the water next week!!

very happy, waiting for my jockey seat from xs ribs to arrive, but untill then and untill i get my new engine she will be a tiller controled boat, I cant wait to see it again i day light, damn these short evenings!!

Andrew the tubes look good .Excalibur have done a good job fitting the tubes we made at TIDEL it is good to know that i can reccomend them to other people who need tubes fitting in your part of the world

pictures from today, Working on the transom...its starting to come together now, put the engine on for a dry fit after cutting the transom and looks great and more importantly fits!!

Hull Antifouled
Today I had a chance to antifoul the hull, got two good coats on there, Very happy with how the boat is looking. should have it in the water soon!
