If anyone wants to join me I will be going by RIB(weather permitting) to watch the show. Anchorage is near to the Southend Pier (Ray Gut). The view of the show is excellent, to the envy of the land spectators!!
I will be launching from either Burnham on Crouch Yacht Harbour, or Two Tree Island.
From Burnham it is a 40 mile trip at low tide. From Two Tree Island it is only a couple of miles. If launching from the latter, boats must be launched and recovered at HT. HT on Sun is 06:07, 18:14 and Mon 07:05, 18:14. Therefore it would be an early start from Two Tree Island, with the possibility of a cruise before the show. This would enable a quick recovery at HT when the show has finished.
Two Tree Island can be a difficult launch site for large boats.
Alternatively, leave Burnham about 10am and arrive back around 7:15pm.
Burnham has better facilities, i.e Toilets, showers, security and an excellent slipway.
