It must be one of the supercharged ones - 185hp is quite a lot for something so small.

Having said that they seem to take off all the time in anything over a 2' chop - I think a RIB would leave them standing in most conditions.

But a hard boat wouldn't I suppose! ...honestly, you lot!

If the RIB were only six feet long (like the Ski), you might find it a tad harder. especialy as getting nearly 200 horses on a six foot RIB might be a challenge.

Seadoo rxp is 215hp and will do a touch over 70mph, its the fastest production jetski made and costs around 11k.

?????

http://www.jetsmarivent.com/phtml/li...phtml?cat_id=4

Just read a test, GPS verified 70mph.

I know anything over 30 is inconceivable to your average RIBnobba, but then they used to say that if a human went over 100mph, he would suffocate!

I was talking to the first owner of my RIB yesterday who told me that when he had it, he was challenged to a race by a bunch of jetskis. In his words "they took off way ahead of me but I soon caught them up when their kidneys started to hurt"

Bought a Yamaha GP1300R with a stage 2 kit on it. Went out on it 2day, strugled to hold on. The aceleration is amazing. Its a different kind of fun than the rib.I still miss the rib but have no regrets changing.

Good luck with your jet ski Jieboy, if your about in our waters I would love a go on that thing, you gotta be mad to sit on that thing & do 70mph, my car only just hits that sort of speeds, & that frightens me when it does, let alone on the sea. WOW!!

At last years poker run, we got quite easily out run by a jet ski from southampton -> yarmouth - not sure what speed he was going, but the weather that day wasnt that nice... I'm sure it was somewhere between a force 4 and 6.

I guess its all down to driver competence!

On the way back from cowes to southampton, a zap cat gave us a run for our money to!
