Rib repairers & Engine Maintenance

I have a 5.7m Rib with a Honda 50hp engine on the back, and wonder if anyone can suggest a good place to

1. get my engine serviced which will not cost the earth, but they will do a good and sound professial job

2. make Rib repairs and perhaps do some extra little jobs on the rib

I have looked at the following thread on Ribnet which details a list of manufactures.

http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread....ghlight=cougar

As you can probably see I am not the most DIY handy person, and would like to know who people have used before and who they suggest.

By the way I live around the Southampton area, so anywhere around the solent would be great.

Thanks

Dave

Avoid Solent Honda They will flay you alive, where as the othrs will settle for an arm or a leg

Ribshop Swanwick/ Hamble I think they are honda approved and know there way around a rib.

I can recommend Rib Repair near Lymington from personal experience:

http://www.ribrepair.com/

No good for the outboard, but recommended for RIB / SIB repairs. Note the address on their website is their office address, their workshop is a couple of miles away.

Cheers

Chris

Not that I am aware of - I guess if the OP can find one supplier to do rib repairs and outboard servicing it will be easiest for him.

I can also recommend Ribshop (http://www.rib-shop.co.uk/). They provide a good all round professional service at a reasonable price. I have also found tham honest and willing to help.
