Revenger Restoration

Hi All,

Some of you may have seen my post else where this evening, I roam around some varied corners of the internet and thought I may try my luck here as well.... I hope noone minds and will attach a different picture!

Tucked away down here in the IOW I have a bit of a project ongoing, Not wanting to blog and share every moment of the hot water into which I am plunging myself I haven't posted here or another couple of groups and forums which I potter about in.

I am getting some really great help from local folk and those that know the brand well which is kind and gracious of all involved.
I have a final big decision to make and it is in regard to the console...She was built with twin single consoles which date the boat somewhat and make her very much a sunglasses and flip flops rather than realising the go-anywhere ability she has.

I have been offered a great deal on a brand new console locally but it would need completely finishing and fitting, probably involving more fibreglass mouldings and stainless, all of which are a bit daunting. There is also a certain emphasis at this point on funds and all of these things are pushing things 'north'. It is however a great offer and current favorite.

Question is, anyone know of one that is around that needs picking up and TLC administering which may suit a Revenger 27? Thinking something at least 1.1m wide, around 1.2m high, with or without 'suicide' seat and looking to put a couple of double jockey seats behind it. Curves are good and fit with the boat.

So, think barn find miracle and let me know if you know of anything suitable.

That looks like pretty major surgery!

Can't help with the console unfortunately.

Looking at the pictures on the other side it looks like a boat that used to charter out of Port Solent about 10 years ago.

Mad these people who take ok old projects. . Lot of holes in transom. Is it sound?

Try ed ribraff on here. He may have a console at a reasonable price.

Transom is indeed peppered! Will beef up a bit as going from 2 to 4 stroke and adding some weight but is actually remarkably sound, unlike, as you so correctly deduce, the owner!

Have had a look at the remaining console that was in Eds shed(assume same ed), lovely shape (beetle bonnet) but too small for the project and more hassle to mod than fit new.

The hunt continues!

Oh, and apols Searider, indeed, very likely the same, was of that vintage and had that engine, turquoise tubes in those days? Also had a spell working out of the Cowes Yacht Haven I believe....raced and rallied!

have you tried emailing Revenger, REVENGER. Top Quality, high performance leisure Rigid Inflatable boats, Phil Morris may know of something to suit knocking about, worth a try, Phil is a mine of useful information about Revengers

Thanks for giving my post some thought, Phil is indeed keeping an eye on me!

He doesn't sadly know of any center consoles about the place though....

if you can't find a Revenger console to suit it might be worth giving Mike Whitham of Whitham Glassfibre a call, see what he can come up with
