Online Petition to save the Portland Coastguard Helicopter
Hi everyone
I'm sure most people now know about the governments plan to scrap the Portland Coastguard Base and Helicopter.
Personally I feel strongly that this is an unwise decision and is likely to lead to loss of lives at sea in the lcoal area.

Thanks. The governments research doesn't work in real life, doesn't matter how good something looks on paper and by some city dwellers sat in fancy offices with fancy computer software and mathematical analysis, sometime a little bit of real life experience makes all the difference

Done - Did I see they sent the Lee on Solent helicopter to Pembrokeshire way last week as the other 2 were ' busy' ? . Am pretty sure it cruises a smidge quicker than a sea king too...
But plain daft to get rid of Portland given the busines of the channel and number of divers etc ....
