no suspension seats on RNLI ribs?

Why do the RNLI ribs not have suspension seats other than cost. Are the hulls so soft riding that they are not needed?

It's because they're so hardcore and god like they don't need things like suspension seats or kill cords

I should add the newer offshore boats have very sophisticated suspension seats, but not the RIBs. I ended up at an Institution of Engineering and Technology lecture all about the design a few years ago. Certainly not cheap! (Cost isn't an issue for the RNLI)

I think you'll probably find they're not expensive enough for the RNLI....
