Newbie - beach launch questions

Hello all,

Apologies for the following questions, but needed clarification. Don't want to end up in hot water.

I have a 280 TS Ribeye with a 8hp Mercury engine. It is easy enough for 2 to transport on transom wheels. I am most likely going to be taking it to South Wales.

If I do not want to use the slipways can I simply launch the boat from anywhere on the beach? Or is this illegal? The boat will be insured. Or does each beach have it's own rules and regulations?

Beaches I would visit include Oxwich, Swansea Bay.

Thanks in advance

Ali
