Experiment with a few more trips with trimming in and out before you start playing with the trim tab. You'll soon get a feel for what you need to do to minimise the pull on the steering. If after a good play you find it's not to your liking then start to move the trim tab. My advise to you is to mark the original position for the trim tab with a marker pen so that you can always get it back to where you started.
Other than that I'd find someone that knows what they're doing to take her out for a spin.
Ref. the hesitation at low speed. If it's a brand new Etec, during the first 10hrs of running in it injects more 2 stroke oil to help lubricate things. Could be spark plugs fouling up a little?

The 90hp is a 3 cylinder & they are known for being a tad juddery at tickover. your 60hp would probably have been a 2cyl which is a different beast.

I have a 12 man pro with a 90 Optimax which pulled starboard. Adjusting the trim tab really helped. Also, trimming the engine up a bit reduces the pull as well.

That's an Optiplex, to you, Pikey

My outboard mechanic took great delight in telling me how he could steer a boat anywhere using the trim without touching the wheel.
Not connected but went out with a mate who put a new console on his boat, as he took it off the trailer he had a really puzzled look on his face and shouted 'something's not right' took him a couple of minutes to figure he'd rigged the steering backwards, once I managed to stop laughing and wiped the tears from my eyes we put the cable in the other hole

Thank you all for all the input and apologies for my little hissy fit, didnt know about the language thing, thanks for clearing it up Kernow !!
Having spent a week messing about it is all good now, you are right in saying that the steering issue virtually dissapears when trimmed properly, was just a case of working it out, thanks.
Still vibrates at 1500 revs.......solution.....avoid 1500 revs, its fine everywhere else.
Loving the boat and thanks so much for all the help and esp the pms.
Much love
Midger (or Midget !!)

E-tecs change injection mode at between 1500&1700 RPMs this can cause the engine to run slightly rough if you sit at the changover point.
Sometimes there is an update to the ECU that can be done that resolves this. Worth checking with your dealer when next in for a service.
