Marineforce.com

I have just been informed that this company has gone into receivership, as of last Thursday. So do NOT try and place any mail orders via their web-site. Tut, tut.... they had a nice portable Icom VHF on special.

Was about to buy my new fixed VHF from their shop in Dover Street, London. Not surprised they went wrong, their service and attitude stinks.

"service and attitude stinks"

- very variable in my experience. Year before last (before their first demise as Cruisermart) I fell out with the staff at the Artillery Lane shop. But I get on really well with the Vauxhall Bridge Road staff - especially after an incident with a fender. V boring if told here, but a lot better after a few beers

Hope it all works out as there's a lot of people working hard against the odds in that company.

Very interesting phone-call I just had. A chap from Marine Force has just picked up my order and decided to explain what was going on. They were still in receivership and look to be bought out by the end of the week. He reckons they will be bigger and better than ever?

Watch this space.
