Loving the lumpy water today

Been out for four hours today in the wind and rain from beaumaris to puffin island and then through the bridges. Massive swells by puffin coming off the Irish sea. Will post photos later, it's so worth braving the weather!!

You wouldn't have liked it down here. Looked like great conditions but very windy - once again the windiest in Britain. At least the sun was shining - then suddenly there was an enourmous clap of thunder - the sky went black and some of the heaviest rain i have ever seen with very high winds - then hail - in August. I pity anyone out on an open boat!!!

Photos would be great!!!

menai straits with friend and better half driving on the way out to the Irish Sea. Also photo of beaumaris bay/beach getting a pastie from ABC boatyard, a good place to shelter and the pier good for getting supplies. Also phot of Beaumaris life boat station, opened by no less than Jimmy Saville years ago, paid for by Blue Peter!!

Beaumaris life boat tractor, how cool! it can go in the water right up to the top of the windscreen, you could snorkel in it. Also the dog at bennellech beach in the evening, thought he deserved some fame!

Also photo of the inshore boat, TRANSOMLESS, i want one. This is the first boat ive seen with no transom, well impressed. Do many boatmakers offer this? anyone used one?

Great piccies!!!

I am also a fan of boats open at the back - zapcats are open as are the mighty Ocean Dynamics RIBs - awesome in the rough.

Lol nice animation!

The danger for codders is not what he knows he doesn't know, but that which he doesn't know he doesn't know about.
