London Excel boat show

Anyone planning a trip?

Haven't been for a few years, so thought I'd give it a go.

I'm planning on Friday the 16th Jan to tie it in with a work trip and save the train fare

Presume there will be a Guiness bar to meet up at

Nasher

I'll be there Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th - officially with the RNLI Sea Safety team, but undoubtedly wandering around (including the vicinity of the Guinness stand) as well from time to time

I'm heading there on Saturday 10th.
Was there last year with the wife and the only bar she'd let me visit was the Noodle bar.

A great day out and well worth the trip over (the noodles were lovely)

Going over to check out new toys..Anyone want a my Humber before that?

If you are in London, this is an option:
Late entry 4pm – entry price £5.00 – this does not include press / preview day
I think most days it shuts at 7pm but Thursday its 9pm.
Hope that helps, I think I might nose across on a couple of nights as I have to spend a week in the Docklands office

When your bored at work take a look at the webcams on the site www.londonboatshow.com

Going on Saturday (10th) to look at dinghy stuff but will also see the big boats too.

I went today (the are some photos here), and will probably go up again on Sunday with the kids.

Saw Jon Brooks skulking on the Johnson Outdoors stand. He's pimping Humminbird and Geonav kit now - do go along and ask him about their chartplotter prices if you feel the need for a giggle.

Bogi,
great link to the webcams - just had a peek, damn it looks quiet. 1500 on a Saturday and there really are very few punters on the boats.
Anyone been there and got any views?

Just spent the last 4 hours there.
For a Saturday it is a lot quieter than last year.
Hardly anyone in the South Hall (Powerboat Hall)
Still did give the oppoertunity to have a good natter

Went today, agree it was quiet.

If you are into Big boats, with Large sails or engines, its great. If you like dinghies or smaller ribs, then its not that great.

By 3pm, we left, after getting there at 10.30 ish. Parking is a pain, there is a cheap £5 a day site on the grounds of the Sailing Centre down that way. I doubt it will be available next weekend though when the sailing is on, they launch from that site.

Got some tickets available, see other thread!
