Kill Cord Questionnaire

This link just appeared via my sailing club Facebook page. No explanation of the source, or who wants to know. (I know who posted it but pretty sure he didn't write it)

It could be someone's school project or it could be a company developing something or a charity...

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LS2LYFD

It misses they key questions of: if you could have a wireless one would you, what would the disadvantages of wireless be, how much would you pay for one... Other than that it seems harmless enough...

I saw this too, I think its a college / uni project for someone. Interesting idea and good that they are raising awareness.

Kill Cord Questionnaire

I would never fill a questionnaire that I do not know what the origin and what is being used for....What's the point if you don't see the results? or the results are used against the community ? ...

I agree, but someone will fill it in and so the result from whatever the sample is will be used by someone.

Its a single page so you can see all the questions.

Its clearly trying to make a case for wireless KC...

So I figured would I let them get everyone saying wireless would be great or would I give them my opinion...

But I do agree I'd far rather know who and why...

I answered the questions but added a comment saying I probably wouldn't buy one

These design of this survey asks intentionally leading questions. The tone suggests that the surveyor is trying to get to an answer he or she wants, rather than actually 'surveying' the audience. These are poorly phrased questions and wouldn't even get a GCSE grade....

However, I'm up for awareness on Kill Cords, by whatever means. FWIW, I do not think that a wireless KC is the answer, awareness and education is.

This looks a lot to me like someone either designing a product or looking to put the finishing touches to one (whstles & bells / how long does the velcro strap need to be kind of thing).

The questions go from nice & generic to very product specific very quickly. - My money is on a company.

I did like the "have you ever not worn....(forget etc)" question.

Like a wireless one will stop you forgetting to put it on? - More likely to be left under the seat!
