jockey seating with wingbacks

hi folks anyone have a pic and opinion of side by side seats with wingbacks on a smallish rib 5.5 as it doesn't look like i can get a decent pair of suspension seats for sensible money im thinking of wingbacks for mine but im a little concerned they will hinder getting past the seats when mooring ect

I can’t see it being a problem. I have side by side Ullmans on my 545 & they are wider than Ribcraft wingbacks & it’s not an issue. I suppose it depends on how big your Beerbelly is [emoji6]

On my friends Gemini 6.5 which is a narrow boat he has wingbacks and they are very good but the big issue for me is you absolutely cannot move between them

I've got restricted access and you just learn to sit on the tube / lean out / walk on the tube (depending on conditions and surefootedness) when you are going past the seat. Having a grab handle on the seat makes this easier. It does slow you down a bit but I've yet to be in a situation where it has caused an issue.

If you are of a fuller figure, make sure the wing backs don't simply push you forward rather than providing lateral support

We have the same ones on our RIB and they are really comfortable. Couldn't go back to normal non-suspension seats.

well the jockeys that are on now are screwed with stainless self tappers and sikaflex 291 and are solid i was just going to do the same .i have been down the boat yard today taking some measurements ect the only slight concern is the seat height .the jockeys fitted are at 28 inches and were a comfortable sit but the scotseats on the plinths and at the lowest setting are measuring nearly 31 inch .i know your supposed to be standing rather than sitting with the suspension seating it just feels like the seats will be really tall.

720mm to 770mm is the spec sheet for scot i think , thats adjustment between 28 1/2" to 30 1/3rd ,looks like they may be adjusted to their highest ?
