From IBI - 'Ultimate Adventure Boat'

Zodiac of North America delivers first 'Ultimate Adventure Boat'

By IBI Magazine

Zodiac of North America has delivered its first CZ7 (Civilian Zodiac 7-Meter) Ultimate Adventure Boat to its new owner in Houston, Texas.

Curtis Wolff, a boating enthusiast from Galveston Bay, is the world's first owner of the US$195,000 military-styled RIB, which he plans to use for recreational purposes in the Gulf of Mexico.

Launched in Annapolis, Maryland, in April this year, the CZ7 is the first in a new line of professional-grade RIBS that Zodiac is developing for the leisure market. It is a direct crossover from the Zodiac H-733 RIB (which is used by both the US Navy and the Coast Guard), and features self-inflating tubes and Ullman seats with the latest shock-mitigation technology. Other features include Skydex deck flooring and twin 150hp Evinrude V6 outboards for speeds of more than 50mph.

Bloody hell what a profit margin - that boat can't have cost much more than about £50 or £60k to build - thats about $100,000 at most to build!

But that there Skydex flooring can't be cheap can it? Cos its 100 GBP for a pair of Nike trainers made out of the same stuff and they don't cover much surface area???
