But without a picture there are at least two of us on here who are just bemused how you get your boat over the trailer board. AND you are still faffing with magnets.

Took a couple of better photos.

Very nice, PD.

Where did you get that system - did it come with the trailer or have you added it yourself?

Well that is two people who don’t seem to understand that the boat floats. As I said before had this boat on and off the trailer on the slip at least 40 times with that light board set up. Not quite sure how a photo will help when the light board is under the water as the boat floats off.

If you are very interested look on my you tube channel many videos on their that might answer your question. My trailer has keel rollers also if that helps answer the question.

You can see the old light board at the end of this video. This is the one that failed after a while and I have now replaced the lights with the magnetic ones.

As @mick says, it’s part of the trailer. Shouldn’t be too difficult to adapt the usual retractable type trailer board arms to make a similar system.

So to replicate what you've got I would have to source a couple of white lights for the number plate, and wire it in.
BTW, what's the light that sticks out - is that a reflector?Click image for larger version

All our lights are LEDs including the marker lights sticking out all my wires join in a SS BOX below the winch and input a 13 pin plug on the trailer to save having a lead to wrap up as well

The sticky out thing is a tri colour marker light. It shows white to the front, amber to the side & red to the rear. Great for towing at night as you can see them in the mirrors.
It’s also on a rubber stalk in case it gets clattered.

It's a surprisingly sophisticated little setup, isn't it?

It’s the same as most things that have been designed with ergonomics in mind. The work/design/implementation are all done at the design stage to minimise human input & error in use.
