Clamseal emergency tube repair thingy!

Hi again

Just saw these at the local chandlery, and wondering whether anyone has any experiece of them, good or bad. It looks like a very novel solution to an important problem.

Your thoughts...

In my experience, very good indeed. I always keep one on board, and over the past couple of years I've used two on other people's boats. In each case they've bought it off me.

One of the above was on the first day of rescue cover for a dinghy National Championships. A RIB had come up from Wales and picked up a puncture. We putthe clamseal in and their tube stayed inflated for the remainder of the week

Wot those blokes said above. Haven't deployed mine and hope not to. Nice simple bit of kit, POP to use. Be prepared to enlarge a small puncture into a slit long enough to take the clamp, a wee knife is essential.
