Boat storage/Marina Bristol Channel

Hi,

After a year or so of keeping my 5.4 searider on the Solent I am moving to the west and I am looking for a good marina or similar on the Bristol Channel. Either South Wales or North Devon.

Can anybody recommend a good place to securely store a boat ashore with a decent slipway and so on?

I'd be grateful for any advice you may be able to offer.

On shore storage could be the issue, Cardiff bay is a very easy slip and not tidal (in the bay) the rest of the channel is very very tidal.

Plenty of marinas to choose from Cardiff has a drystack option too (not cheap) Afan boat club port talbot has compound for storage a concrete slip but limited on launching to about 2 hours either side of high tide.

I had my boat at Cardiff Marina Drystack for a year before moving her to Southampton.
In comparison Cardiff was almost half the cost although the facilities are not quite comparable but still very well organised.
Slipways around the Bay are always going to be cheaper but pricey per launch so it depends on the amount of use and your storage arrangements
I enjoyed my year in Cardiff and navigating the Bristol Channel improved my boat handling no end
Regards
Iain
