BananaShark claim 2 UK speed records!

Well ok it was the 1:9 model, but Kevin and I are feeling rather pleased with ourselves.

A while ago we supplied a hull to Ernie Lazenby who writes for one of the modeling magazines and Kevin got this email:

Hi Kevin. Today the Banana Shark model set 2 new UK records for the following classes of Fast Electric model boats. Set at the MPBA speed record weekend at Sunderland (For fast electrics)

CLASS Mono Hull up to 30 cells Brushless motor 36mph

Class Mono Hull up to 20 cells Brushless motor 33 mph

Both set in terrible conditions. A very strong wind with big waves and white tops.

Both records set with 14 cells

Regards. Ernie

When he first tried it on his local pond the model had 20 cells in it and he said he needed a bigger pond because it was too quick!

Just like the real thing - it likes it rough!
