What have they got on the back? (I haven't bothered to check ebay - feeling lazy!) When I was on a 21 in the 70s, we had twin 50s (the first boats only had 40s, they were definitely underpowered) and they were OK for lifeboat work but not very zippy for playing about

well I thought the fuel tanks were a little small, but since he has managed 150 hours but only needed to fill it up a couple of times then obviously it's very economical.

I drove a 6.5m Ribtec with those engines for Stu once and only once, dreadful, the only reason we did 26 knots was the tide was going out Oddly enough he has a pair of Opti 150s which would go well on the back of this.

That boat looks wierd, especially the placing of the frame and the jockey seat

anyway, our atlantic 21 has twin mariner 50's but they're two stroke rather than four stroke which would make a difference.

Don't forget that all atlantic 21's & 75's had/have two strokes fitted, and its only the Atlantic 85 where they have moved to fourstrokes, but upped the power to 115's

I thought 32 knots sounded a bit optimistic from the one on Ebay.

That does sound a bit steep.

As far as I can remember, when the 21's had twin 50's they were specced at doing 29 knots with 3 people on board.

I think when they upgraded them to twin 70's, it only pushed that up to like 32 knots.

If I can get a portable gps from someone tomorrow, i'll do a speed test as im using the boat tomorrow.
