About to buy police RIB!

Hey guys I am about to bid in a police rib, but want advice on price. Too good to be true or waste of time, pls let me know. This will be my first rib so need help! The auction price is starting at $5000 CAD or £3200. What do you think?

Where are you intending to use it & for what? As Doug says, "poor sea keeping" judging by the shallow hull. If you're just going to use in on lakes & rivers, that probably won't be a problem, if you're intending taking it out to sea, I'd keep looking. The whole thing looks like a shed & needs reworking/re-fitting. I'd be dubious about the engine hours looking at the skeg. If you fancy a project for calm/sheltered water give it a go, if not, walk on.
