Wonder what went wrong. This was new from Quinqauri in around about 2007 (not that old for a good old Humber). I remember it being delivered to Hugo Boss / Alex Thompson racing as was working in the same marina at the time. Was quite something back then. Since then I think it got stolen and recovered.

9mtr Humber revival

Hi Nugent. Looking good. I reckon my 8.5 Humber came from same batch of rhibs. Used to have boss patches on tubes. I’m looking to freshen up deck with paint and tread master sections. Could you recommend a paint and process? Looks like the original gel coat on deck or already painted? Click image for larger version

Alex Thompson racing had two Quinquari Humbers - yours must be the other one.

Thanks that’s good to know. Any advice about painting it to freshen it up?

100% agree!
It always seems to lift somewhere eventually, then it stretches and stays wrinkled when you do get round to gluing it back. Worst of all if you need to go through the deck for a repair, it’s a nightmare to remove and a replacement section looks awful as it fades quite a bit over the years.
Only as a last resort!
