Transom board replacement

Hi
I joined this forum for advise and local help
I wondered if going out at sea staying close to shore with a 2.9 m rib and 2hp Yamaha was a reasonable choice - living in the north east of Scotland
And I have to replace the transom board first anyway so I ll be checking the relevant thread for this too
Thank you

Hi, I’m a bit further up the coast. Use a kayak to fish from Catterline, Stonehaven and the like. Okay on a good day, just need to pick the right conditions. Seeing a Harr approaching sends me running for home
