Hi from Phuket, Thailand - Chinese RIBs: Good or Bad?

Hello all, I’m a new member of the forum after lurking from afar for a few weeks, awesome forum w/tons of info.

I made a post here in the main forum regarding a Chinese RIB factory visit, would love your feedback in that thread here.

I currently live in Phuket, Thailand and am brand new to boating. It seems like the perfect activity to get into here in Phuket with the Phang Nga islands and Krabi region in general. I’ve got some relevant experience with surfing/ocean knowledge, radios, engines but know nothing about boating, navigation & fishing.

Career-wise, I’m developing a set of apps (unrelated) and am a former firefighter/paramedic. Would love to video some boating adventures documenting my journey of a non-boater towards learning as much as I can.

Happy to be here, cheers.
