Hello to everyone

Well after many years on the sea as a navyboy, I am older and wiser and as the term "older" means something like worn out. My hope is to now turn to the magic of outboards and get my little old Zodiac (1986) Cadet T240 fitted with a outboard motor mount. The mount is the one that laced into a special slot and held the pipe for the motor mount. My local dealer wants me to get a new boat, but I have far too many memory's with the kids and grandkids to get rid of the old Cadet. The hope is to get a few pictures or plan and make the mount. Fishing season has started and I need to use a motor to get a round the lakes, bad back is worse thing for active outdoors man. So hope to get my son to pump the cadet up soon and get some fresh photos on here.

Hi Tom

Welcome to RIBnet.

There are I imagine more than a few RIBneter's that fall into the "older" category

Everytime I get a whiff of a 2 stroke it brings me straight back to the 70's when I cut my teeth with a 4 hp Merc.

I look forward to seeing your pics in the future
