Hello, newby from Leicester

Greetings, all.

Just purchased a Flatacraft Force 3 GT with 25hp Mariner O/B from a member of the board.

I live in Leicester and just thought I'd introduce myself and say hello.

Any pointers on where to go and what to do would be great as I'm totally new to this rib-bing stuff......

Cheers,

Mick.

Well you are fairly close to getting as far from the sea as it is possible to get in the UK! I should know, I grew up in Leicester. Welcome, and I hope that a little travel does not get in the way of a great time

Agreed, but it is the spiritual home of Flatacraft, well, Syston is of course.....

Mind you, being landlocked doesn't seem too much of an impediment, I mean, look at Fairline who grew up in Oundle. Still, they had the Nene; I'm stuck with the Sense (read trickle....)

Cheers.

The Sence runs past the bottom of our garden. Call in if you're cruising past

Welcome
I was born and brought up in Leicester (well Oadby actually). I think I used to go fishing in the Sense but the other one I think (Great Glen, Wistow?).
Enjoy your boat
Cheers
Neil

Ah memories; I used to cycle from Thurnby to Great Glen most weekends as a teenager. Happy days..
