Hello and welcome

I did a 2 week bareboat charter on a Bavaria 42 out of Levkas some years back. Beautiful place and fantastic waters to sail (and Rib) in. We had some excitement with an earthquake when we were moored in Syvota I think. Sailed to Ithaca, Kefalonia and Meganissi, great weather and so many places to visit, just fantastic. The boat was called Cloud Nine. Very appropriate.

What RIB do you have and where do you keep it?

Had quite a few charters in the Ionian, brilliant scenery, lovely stop offs. Unfortunately a few years ago it seemed to us that the secret was out, and that part of Greece got just too busy - boats everywhere. Also found the winds can be a little light. So for the past few years we have explored other areas of the Greek coastline, quite a few areas with better winds, but none that match the scenery. I guess there is a reason the Ionian gets busy
Is the area still as popular?

My Dad has a boat in the marina in Levkas. We were there in August with the children, and all I could think of was how do I get my rib down here and join in with all the Italian ribs island hopping - great fun!

Still fairly busy, the trick is to work out where the flotillas are heading and their change over days and go in opposite direction. Will be heading back there this season.
