Good evening from Bristol, UK

Good evening everyone,

I purchased an 4.6m Avon W460 with a 35HP Johnson motor a number of months ago but havn't yet had the time to take it out. I'm hoping to get out on to Bristol's floating harbour at the weekend, weather permitting. 3.5 miles of enclosed water should be enough for some much needed practice, just need to watch the throttle.

Are there any people here, local to Bristol?

Funnily enough, with the weather looking a bit better, we're trying to fit a whole summer's worth of SIBing into the next few days!

We're definitely out on Sunday, and I've got Saturday pegged as the 'clean the mould off the SIB that has built up in the shed since the last time we were able to use it which was March'.

However, if there's like-minded peeps in the harbour on Saturday, I guess I could scrub and SIB at the same time!

no one is ever ready for their first sea trip, but mike and trevor are absolute gents .with a massive shout out to a fella called graham, make no mistake i was out my depth on the lulworth trip but the support mechanism ribnet sibfest trips offer is second to none ,all the chaps i have met are actually really nice blokes lol

it is a really special trip an amazing one to do in a sib , a great way of meeting fellow sibbers and something to tell your grandchildren about

i`ve a feeling once word gets out we`ll have some company from some fairly large ribs who add an element of security..indeed miss a sibfest at your peril

can ribs join too? been looking for an excuse to get some ' blue water' under the rib - most of my ribbing is on the Bristol Channel so a little muddy....
