Stolen Aerotec and Tohatsu 20

Nipped to my exís today to pick up my boatÖ to find itís gone complete with my 20hp Tohatsu 4 stroke, absolutely everything that was stored with it including my 190 auto life jacket, Icom VHF, everything Iíve built up over the years.

She has just got back from holiday so I can only imagine itís been taken whilst she was away. Iím gutted 😞

I donít know if itís insured under the house insurance, been a rough year and Iím living alone elsewhere.

I will put a proper list up but hereís a pic, note that on my last outing I lost the R clip from my launching wheels.. if anyone is offered this setup, please let me know.

Some distinguishing features..

It’s had the transom raised as a lot of us did, and there is a RAM mount for a GPS on the transom

Devastating, have you got the serial numbers? Report to the police, if its found you will need the numbers and the crime number to get it back. Put search watches on ebay, gumtree and market place sit back and wait , my guess is these will surface, probably split.

Gutting.

Was it deflated and packed with all the gear in the same place (garage/shed)? Home CCTV or Ring doorbell info from neighbours can build a picture.

I think it's only the second SIB and kit theft from a house on here in 12yrs or so.

I reckon better than a 50/50 it would be covered under a home policy. Might be tricky if that policy is your Ex's though. There will probably be an excess, maybe raised premiums for some years and as part of paying out insurance may insist locks and security etc are increased on the place.

I will have the numbers somewhere, itís not had lots of use recently so I suspect that they were looking for my exís new boyfriendís motorcycle and just got lucky.

Iíll put a full list up here for what itís worth. Literally even took my wetsuit shoes, kids cags and wetsuits 🤷🏼*♂️

Ah. Very similar to the only previous one I remember, that being all in a shed the owner thought was safe as no-one would know there was a boat stored there. And yes you're probably correct the boat wasn't the initial target.
