time for another new england cruise???

Ok ribfan, i am hopeing you still have blue moon and have not traded it for a cruiser. looking for some newenglanders that are interested in getting together this year for a ride somewhere. both trips that we tried to do ended up with only myself and ribfan, looking for anyone interested and any ides on the trip, In the past we toke a ride to newport Ri to see the tall ships, lots of photos posted on ribnet, and the last trip was a trip from newlondon CT to block island where after destroying my prop my boat had an extended stay since nowhere on the island stocks props for a boat. kind of unbelievable if you ask me. hopeing to hear from anyone interested in planning a trip, where are you all....

I'm in. I'm in NJ, so maybe we could plan a trip somewhere in between? NY harbor maybe? I know one of my friends would go, and I'm thinking there are two other ribs that would go as well.

Hi guys let me list a few things going on around new england waters this spring maybe we all could get togather for one of these or all. The 1812 bicentennial is coming to the east coast. Tall ships from all over wiil be here and there. New York May 23-30 Baltimore June 13-19 Boston June 30-July 5 A good take would be Boston June 30-July 5 then run down to Newport, the America Cup tour will run there June 23-July1. If any of you have a chanc take a trip down here to Maryland the bay is a great place to rib. See you on the water. thanks Hotrubber

Hi All, We still own Blue Moon, haven't made the switch to the slow lane yet, maybe in a year or two. Most likely I'm interested, as always, timing is everything.

Interested in tossing some ideas around.

grrat to hear from you bill, glad to hear your wife hasnt got you in the slow boats yet, i hope if we can get a trip together you both can make it, it will be great to see you both again. as for ides, im pretty flexible, I do want to see the cup races in newport this year and would think of trying the tall ships again in boston, as usual the more people that come the harder it is to agree on a time so i thought id try to figure soemthing out early this year. im hopeing with the good weather we have had we will have the boats out real early for once...

I am up to most anything, as has been posted, there r the tall ships and races in newport, also cgoing has brought up the sailing in CT which is much closer for the new jersey and new york ribbers. Ill try to get the dates for all these events and post them to see what might work for everyone. would be nice to have more than 2 boats this time. I like the respose so far, looking forward to meeting evryone who wants to go, the earlier we settle on a date the better chance we will have at getting a few boats, Keep looking ...

My brother went to the Americas Cup races in San Diego a few months back and said they closed the entire harbor to non-working vessels. Just throwing it out there.

trying to keep this thread current, looks like it might be too much of a risk to see the cup races so it looks like we can try the tall ships in newport, boston or new london, i hope we can get a few boats together for a nice ride

I'm going to be joining Bjoern this sunday the 27th in NY harbor to watch fleet week and just cruise around manhattan. If anyone else is down to go, let either of us know and we'll meet up.
