Boat Insurance for Zodiac Hurricanes
Hello,
I have boat insurance for my Seasport, but for the Zodiac Hurricane most companies do have that model listed.
So what or who does everyone get their boat insured with?
Thanks,
John

I have a zodiac hurricane 540. With my insurance carrier (country financial), he just insured it like any other boat. I made sure the declared value was set at reasonable market value for a replacement. With my prior boat, a sib (Zodiac grand raid MK2), I even went as far to have him check with underwriting regarding the boat sinking if i hit something in the river.

I have my insurance through Progressive. It was the cheapest price I could find. I checked with all of the big company's. I am insured for anything, including boating accident or accident on the road, just like my truck and SUV, for $205 a year

I stuck with BoatUS which is now part of Geico. Currently it's less than 300.00 a year for the stated value of the Zodiac.

I also have coverage with BoatUS, as a Gold Unlimited member, but I found that Progressive was a lot cheaper for my exact boat than Geico. Cheaper by over $100 per year. I pay $218 per year for $100,000/$300,000/$100,000, with a $250 deductible. Geico wanted $332 a year, with a $500 deductible for the same coverage I have with Progressive. I guess some people can afford to waste money when they don't need too. Lol

@Diabloloco...
https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-...say-car-owners
Just recently I got rear ended on June 2nd by someone who's policy is with Progressive. The driver bent my tow hitch and his car was pretty much totaled. I towed him off the bridge and we both made calls to our insurance companies. His insurance "Progressive" claimed he was on an app and therefore not covered. Even though it was his fault. So what I understand if someone runs a stop sign and hits you Progressive doesn't need to pay??? Kind of messed up.
Anyway, my point is that BoatUS has been good to me and even when I slipped on my bow and ended up swallowing my anchor. 5 hours of plastic surgery and a metal plate in my jaw. BoatUS covered all medical expenses outside of my medical insurance. No questions asked.
To me not wasting money, but we I need it I know that I am covered. Knock on wood.
