THE “STORMFORCE RIGGING CHALLENGE” & THE EARL’S COURT SAIL, POWER AND WATERSPORTS SHOW

After the success of last years show we will be back exhibiting our range of Power and Sail training in the UK, Portugal and Greece.

As a development from last year we will be running two exhibition stands. The Stormforce Coaching Stand will be handling sales and enquiries as always.

New for this year and aimed at all ages the “Stormforce Rigging Challenge” (Stand R55) lets visitors test their skills at rigging an RS dinghy against the clock. There will be two boats on the stand, a RS Q’ba for those 13 years and under and a RS Vision for those 14 and over.

Stormforce Coaching Instructors will give you a short demo of how to rig one of these boats and then its over to you to see how fast you can do it. There will be prizes throughout the week for the fastest times and a free sailing course with Stormforce Coaching for the overall winner.

Competitors will be requested to donate £1 a go to the London Sailing Project (LSP). All money collected will go to LSP (a Sail Training charity) and will help provide opportunities for young people and people with disabilities to try sailing. This challenge is aimed at all ages; you do not have to be a sailor, just ready for some fun. We hope to see you next week.

AQUAQUAD DISPLAY IN THE MAIN POOL

Following on from the success of the Wakeboarding feature last year and building on last year’s feedback where visitors have asked for more live and exciting water sports the Aquaquad Classic will be on a two hourly display.

Adding more excitement to the show, the Aquaquad Classic will be on display in the pool every 2 hours throughout the week. New to the UK but well established in South Africa this is a fantastic sportsboat, ideal for leisure, wave jumping, exploring, support/safety, fishing or even as a work boat for harbour patrols.

With an all in price of £4,850 inc. VAT, top spec. engine and a trailer, the AQUAQUAD Classic is the perfect boat to beat the “Credit Crunch”. Its compact dimensions mean it can easily be tucked away in a garage or on a driveway. The price can be reduced further by specifying a smaller engine.

Flying in especially from South Africa to provide the demonstrations is Nolan Muldur, who can be seen demonstrating what the AQUAQUAD can do in the following pictures

OK, as promised here are a couple of images of the Stormforce Rigging Challenge. Unfortunatly only from a camera phone but it gives you an idea.

Top of the leader board so far is Dan Jaspers on the RS Vision with 24 seconds but we are not going to give him any prizes as he works for RS full time.

There is a £50 Stormforce Coaching Voucher for 4 daily winners and a 2 day RYA sailing course for the week's winner.
