toys, toys, toys

Hello I have purchased a LCX-26C HD. I did not originally plan on this but have come into the money to put a radar array onboard. I also want to put on temp, fluid level and fuel flow meters. I would like an extra screen to act as a slave to the LCX-26. I would like to put non critical or if I need radar to put the sonar, plotter, or radar to the other screen. Does any one know if this is possible with out blowing another $1800 on another full unit?

Donnie;

Lowrance (reportedly) has a radar add-on for at least some of their units. I, however, have been unable to find any information on this unit. It is *not* listed on the Lowrance website (that I could find, anyway.)

You might call Lowrance directly (expect a bit of on-hold time) or perhaps a local Lowrance vendor to find out what's available for your unit for how much. I do know you can get fuel flow metering for the Lowrance NMEA2000 units.

I have installed the Global Map 7500 together with the new Radar (1500)
I cant come up with any info yet because the ice still laying.
One thing that i liked with it is that you can split the screen and than decide how big part of the screen you want radar or map.

WOW Petrov I think I have found my new up grade. That is a great looking RIB. This is horrible I haven’t even received my boat and all ready looking to go bigger and better. The problem is that I have a 1 man console and don’t have the room for a 10” screen and I’m hopping I can get a slave to the main unit for under $400.

I will have to call Lowrance by the look of things I sent them an e-mail on Friday and still no response.

I like the switches in the second photo - where did you get those from and do you know if they are available in the UK?

Thanks,

Thanks for the heads-up. I've seen references to it, but have yet to see it listed anything other than 2nd source.

Later;

jky

Oh, and cool boat, Petrov!

Jyasaki i stopped by one of Boaters worlds store and according to the rep. there they are not available yet. They switched manufactures and they are now being made by Simrad (spelling). She also said that even though Lowrance sold them as such nothing with anything smaller then a 7" screen will be combatable with the radar.
