The Best high resolution depth sounder

I am looking for THE VERY BEST high resolution depth sounder that I can get. Money is no object.

I need it for locating wrecks for diving.

Any ideas any one?

Thanks

I use a Lowrance LCX-25C. It shows up our nice little wooden schooners here in the Great Lakes beautifully. Plus you get a nice plotter too...

Money no object? Are you really sure???

What you want is a nice towed array sidescan - something like this.

http://www.edgetech.com/sidescan.html

Or even better these British systems.

if you are talking about more conventional then remember the transducer is more important than the head unit. The transducer I was after turned out to be £5000 on it's own for my Raymarine!!!

Damn, If I had one of those, I wouldn't even need to get in the water... I'd just putt around all day sipping a wobbly-pop looking for old boats...

Ya, I suppose... But you have "stuff" in your water. I just have mud, rocks, more mud... On the other hand, our wrecks last a long time...

Lowrance LCX range no question. 110c has excellent quality 10.4 inch screen.

Regards,

Tony

Hey Manos
Reson Seabat should do you nicely
http://www.reson.com/sw1122.asp
used one of the earlier versions of this to find a lost sensor in the bottom of Plymouth sound and it was only 1m x 10cm x 10 cm.
You starting another side line or is this just for pleasure ?
good luck
James
