Suzuki Interface cable

Has anyone any idea how the 120-55 interface cable connects to the Suzuki allowing it to talk to lowrancenet....
Does this cable do away with the Suzuki loom and the analogue clocks?

It plugs into the engine diagnostic port, and then connects to Lowrance via standard NMEA2000 cable. Spose you could do away with the analog guages, but I don't think it would replace the warning lights and buzzer on the tacho, in the event of a problem.

By all accouts it works very well.

Dorian at Ribcraft is a bit of an expert on this.
Might be worth a call to him.

Spoke to Navico adn it turns out that Suzuki have changed the plug on 08 Engines from a round plug to a small square plug. So i now need an adapter or a new cable..... None of which a readily available......
