Lowrance USA insight purchase...

Anything I need to know about setting one?


It's saying it's not licensed for the uk..

If i get a new navionics card will it sort it out do you think?

I think they are/were geofenced so they only work in the regions specified. Things may have changed ,,,,

I just had a look and there are updates various equipment from global maps finders plotters etc etc for the uk
Prob best to give them a call just to be safe and to get exactly the right equipment

Yep. They're "geofenced" to stop grey imports.

They still work but display a note to say that it's not licences for outside of the USA.

I can buy the "update" to get rid of this for 600 Euros (!!!!!!!!)


Don't think I'll bother

I'm going to run it as a monitor with another hds unit.

I'll see if the message disappears if I'm using it as a slave.
