Garmin Echomap 75SV Memory Card

My Echomap doesn't appear to read my Sandisk Micro SD card.

I created a route in Memory Map which I saved on to the card in GPX format but when I put the card in the plotter, it doesn't seem to recognise it - there certainly isn't an option to transfer the data.

The situation is slightly complicated by the plotter not having a power source independent of the boat.

Can anyone successfully transfer routes from a memory card to the 75SV and if so, what type of card do they use? It could be the card at fault or it isn't compatible with the Garmin.

Has anyone jury rigged a power supply so they can flash up their 75SV at home?

Cheers

Guy

You might have to format it again.. Fat32 has always been the norm. Download a free formatting utility instead of Os, did you try formatting on the Garmin device?

Maybe run sd card read/write scanner to make sure it's working

Thanks for the suggestions. From further reading in the FAQ's, I think it might be that the maximum size card the 75SV can cope with is 32Gb. The card I bought is a 64Gb.

Cheers

Usually the 64s work anyway.. In most devices. Try a 3rd party sd formatter, fat/fat32. Sometimes a certain format just doesn't work, try different ones and see..
