Fuel gauge needle jammed

Went from Poole to Newport & back on Thursday delivery teenager to Bestival - pretty rough both ways (rougher on return) so much so that a slam made the fuel gauge need jump the end stop (full!) and now its stuck there - any suggestions its a pain to dismantle the gauge and will prob break the watertight seal.

I did try a few big slams hoping it would jump back!

Are you sure it's not the float on the sender unit in the tank? Might have got stuck at the top of its travel when you slammed the boat.

All sorted, on closer inspection was the electrical connection - broken in two places: the fly lead join and actually going into the sender
Had to replace the sender - great service and price from a.s.a.p supplies (ASAP-supplies.com)
